随着河沙资源的日益枯竭，环保整治力度的不断加大，一些河流、水库等沙场的不断关闭，风化沙逐渐的代替了河沙。风化砂是地表岩层风化过程的中间产物，也是河沙的前期产物，其耐久性较一般河沙差，物理力学性质较不稳定。风化砂的特征是颗粒呈棱角状，强度较弱，大小分布不均匀性较大，并含有一量的细土粒。
