This summer, Fear the Wave has launched a project to tell the story of the 1998 Tulane Green Wave as the team reaches the 20th anniversary of its historic season.
After 12 hours of interviews, which included:

Tulane makes a coaching change when Buddy Teevens' era concludes and Tommy Bowden comes to Uptown.
Players see the bar raised, as they learn that being competitive is not enough to earn the respect of the new coaching staff.
This Chapter follows the team's progress in Coach Bowden's first year en route to a 7-4 season.
After being denied a bowl game despite breaking the Green Wave's streak of losing seasons, the team comes to Covington, LA eager to prove themselves.
The Green Wave faces adversity as several key players see their status up in the air due to academic issues, while newcomers are forced to fill big shoes.
The team leaves camp to play Cincinnati and open the 1998 season.
Chapter 3 brings us to the first game action of 1998, as the Wave heads to Cincinnati and sees their hard work pay off.
This episode concludes with a deep dive into the monumental showdown in the Superdown with defending conference champion Southern Miss, when injured star quarterback Shaun King and backup Jeff Curtis would make an impact for the Wave to stay perfect.
