Wave That Pick: AAC Picks for Week 6

JP Picks Some Games

By JP Gooderham

We are back this week with "Wave That Pick," and there are three AAC games that look interesting to me this week. But first:

How are we doing?

Last week, we had our best week yet and went 3-1 to move to 7-4 on the year. Recap:

Winners: USF -21 @ ECU, SMU -17 vs. UConn, Navy -8.5 @ Tulsa
Losers: Houston -13 @ Temple

2017 RECORD: 7-4 (64%)

Picks for Week 6

1. SMU @ Houston -6.5 | PICK: SMU

I'm taking the Mustangs here. Honestly, I could see them winning this game if Houston continues to struggle offensively, as this SMU team is capable of putting up points. Spotting them almost a TD, I think this is a great play.

2. Tulsa @ Tulane -4.5 | PICK: TULANE

This is going to be a wild, early game before a hurricane force storm hits. With a couple weeks to handle injuries and get prepped, I expect Tulane to show more confidence on offense early and build some drives and take home the win today. I'll say the Green Wave covers.

3. Air Force @ Navy -7.5 | PICK: NAVY

Both of my Navy picks have been winners, and I'll do it again. An undefeated Navy will look to stomp a team that they don't like, and they have a sold out crowd coming to their home field. The Mids are going to put on a show and win by more than a TD today.

4. UCF @ Cincinnati +17 | PICK: UCF

That's a lot of points on the road, which is good, because UCF scores a heck of a lot of points. With Cincy coming off a thrashing at the hands of Marshall, I don't have confidence that their defense will be able to stop the Knights' attack. I'll take UCF here.
